How much smaller will my image get?
Typical photos compress 60-90% smaller at the default quality with no visible difference. The tool shows the before-and-after size instantly, and a quality slider lets you trade size against fidelity in real time.
Does compressing an image reduce its quality?
Slightly, and controllably. Compression re-encodes the image at a lower quality setting; at 80% quality the difference is invisible for web use. The slider previews the result so you can judge before downloading.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
